SCOPE
brand identity
product display
merch design
Green Qween set out to create more than just another dispensary — they built DTLA’s first LGBTQ+ BIPOC-owned and curated cannabis space, a fantastical environment rooted in community, queer culture, and bold self-expression. The brand identity we developed reflects that unapologetic spirit: a custom tall, confident, wordmark with just the right amount of sass. Staying far away from clichés (i.e. rainbows…), we drew inspiration from the entire spectrum of colors, creating dreamy gradients and holographic textures, giving the brand a high-fashion, edgy, and unshakably proud presence.
Beyond the visual identity, my work extended into product displays and merch design, all reinforcing the dynamic, playful, and confident personality of the space. In collaboration with Visual Elements, who led store design and fabrication, the result is a modern deco dispensary that feels as much like a cultural hub as it does a retail experience. Today, Green Qween has expanded into 3 locations across Los Angeles, regularly hosting queer art events and growing into an iconic, celebrated community landmark.
client words
“Working with [the team] has been amazing. They listened to my vision and helped shape and focus the color and design elements to achieve the bright and inviting space that we have today. Inspired by 1980s Miami and South Beach, they helped to make Green Qween a must-see modern deco dispensary in downtown LA.”
